Jason Borschow is the founder and CEO of Abarca, a San Juan based pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company that partners with health Insurance plans, government programs, self-funded employer groups and other PBMs to better manage drug costs and improve the healthcare experience for patients, payers and providers. Through Its proprietary end-to-end tech platform, Darwin, the company manages over 100 million prescriptions annually for nearly 4 million patients across the United States.
In 2018, EY named him Entrepreneur of the Year for financial and insurance services segment In the Florida region. In 2019, he was selected as Puerto Rico's first Endeavor Entrepreneur. He remains committed to the success of various non-profit organizations including Endeavor, ConPRmetidos, and Foundation for Puerto Rico and is a member of the Young President's Organization.
Carlos García
Carlos is an entrepreneur with a track record of building successful and innovative companies in the intersection of technology and marketing.
Carlos is the CEO of HYP3R, the leading innovator in location marketing cloud and one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies. Prior to HYP3R, Carlos founded Nobox, a social marketing agency (acquired in 2015), and Scrapblog, an online scrapbooking service (acquired in 2011). Leo Armas
Leo is a seasoned entrepreneur with an expansive track record in building companies majorly focused on content and advertising tech.
He is CTO and co-founder of HYP3R, a leading “location marketing cloud” platform, selected twice by Fast Company as one of the most innovative companies in the world. Before HYP3R, Leo founded “Dos al Cubo”, a SaaS company that offers solutions to traditional media companies in Latin America and the US, and “Everypost” a B2C company focused on facilitating publishing on social media. Antonio Ortiz
A graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a BA with concentrations in Finance, Operations and Information Systems, Antonio also holds a master's degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Saint John's University in New York.

Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). José Stella
Chairman
José R. Stella is currently Co-CEO and Co-Founder of QMC Telecom International Holdings LLC, a multinational provider of wireless infrastructure. Prior to that, he was the CEO and Co-founder of VIU Media until the sale of the company to Lamar Advertising (NASDAQ:LAMR) in 2006. At the time of the sale, VIU Media was Puerto Rico's largest locally owned outdoor advertising company.
Prior to becoming President of VIU Media, he was the Co-Founder and President of Quest Management Corporation, a private equity group formed to identify, acquire, and operate a company in Puerto Rico.
Previously, Mr. Stella worked at KPMG Peat Marwick in the middle-market M&A Advisory Group. He also worked for UBS in Zurich and Chase Manhattan Bank where he worked in Corporate Finance. José received, along with his business partner, the 2004 Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Puerto Rico.
Throughout the years he has served on several boards of directors. Mr. Stella graduated high honors with a B.A. in Economics, Finance and Investments, from Babson College and graduated cum laude with an MBA from University of Michigan.

Ignacio Álvarez
Ignacio Alvarez has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Popular, Inc. since July 1st, 2017. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Previously, he was one of the six founding partners of the law firm Pietrantoni Méndez & Álvarez LLP.
Recognized by Chambers Global as “one of the best lawyers in Puerto Rico,” Álvarez was an integral part of the firm’s success for 18 years. Among his main practice areas are: banking, corporate and commercial law; corporate and public finance law; securities and capital markets.
Álvarez was born in Havana, Cuba in 1958; graduated from Georgetown University, Magna Cum Laude, 1980; Harvard Law School J.D., Cum Laude, 1983; and admitted to the Bar in Florida and Puerto Rico in 1983.
He was an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer, University of Puerto Rico Law School, from 1988 to 1992. He has been a member of the Board of Regents of Georgetown University since October 2008.
Lisanne Dorion has over 25 years working in the international business arena. Her early career was with Bacardi International Limited’s global legal team working on licensing, production, and transactional matters in Europe and Asia. Eventually becoming Vice President Legal and Global Director of Intellectual Property for the Bacardi International. During her tenure at Bacardi she worked on matters throughout Europe, Latin American, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Building on many of the challenges and opportunities that working at Bacardi afforded her, Lisanne eventually returned to private practice and academia in the USA. For over a decade Ms. Dorion has been a Faculty Advisor for the Tuck Business School’s Global Consultancy On-Site Program. Ms. Dorion most enjoys this program as she is able to contribute not only to the experiential education of MBA students, but also provide value and insights to industry leading companies worldwide.
Lisanne continues her pursuit of challenges and experiences outside of the office as well. Whether piloting a helicopter or winning the 2006 4Desert’s World Women’s Championship title or representing the USA before the Queen of England in international equine endurance, Lisanne is constantly refining her belief that obstacles are not just something to overcome, but a chance to create an amazing outcome.
Lisanne Dorion
Morgan M. “Mac” Schuessler, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Evertec since April 2015. Schuessler has over 20 years of payment industry leadership experience. He has served as President of International for Global Payments Inc; overseeing business in 23 countries throughout Europe and Asia.
From 2008 to 2012, Schuessler served as Global Payments’ Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining Global Payments, Schuessler served in several leadership positions with American Express Inc. including Vice President, Global Purchasing Solutions with responsibility for managing the company's purchasing card business globally.
Schuessler was previously a member of Visa's Senior Client Council and the UnionPay International Member, the international division of China UnionPay (CUP). He holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School where he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Dean’s Advisory Board. Additionally, Schuessler serves on the Advisory Board of the Puerto Rico Open, the Island's annual PGA tournament, and is also a member of both Young President's organization (YPO) and Consejo Empresarial de América Latina (CEAL).

Juan Sabater
Juan has over 20 years of private equity investing and investment banking experience. Before joining Valor, Juan was a Managing Director with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the firm’s Investment Banking Division. As a part of the investment banking team, he held several positions, including membership in the private equity coverage group, the division’s senior management team, and as a coverage and execution banker for clients in Latin America. Following Goldman Sachs, Juan partnered with a law school friend to grow and scale Augeo Affinity Marketing, Inc. Together with his business partner, Juan grew Augeo into a leading private company in the affinity and loyalty industry. Juan currently is Co-Chairman of the Board of Augeo and leads the company’s efforts in identifying and developing new strategic initiatives.
In addition to his Valor responsibilities, Juan serves on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations in New York City, including The Frick Collection and Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. He also is the President of the Board of The Hewitt School. He sits on the Advisory Board of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and served on the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School. He was appointed by President George Bush to the President’s Advisory Council on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center. Juan also serves on the Board of Directors of My Brother's Keeper Alliance. Juan is Co-Chair of the Board of the New America Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the economic development of the American Latino community.
Juan holds an A.B. in History from Princeton University. He studied history at the University of Oxford, Mansfield College and holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School. He is formerly an officer in the United States Army Reserve.
Jose Fernandez
Mr. Fernandez is the Co-COO of StepStone Group, a global private markets investment firm focused on providing customized investment solutions and advisory and data services to some of the most sophisticated investors in the world. With more than US$333 billion of private markets allocations, including over US$80 billion of assets under management as of December 31, 2020, StepStone covers the spectrum of opportunities in private markets across the globe.
Mr. Fernandez is a member of the private equity team where he focuses on US-based small market managers and Latin American investments. He is also involved in the Firm’s ESG and diversity initiatives.
Prior to co-founding StepStone, Mr. Fernandez was a managing director of Pacific Corporate Group, a private equity investment firm for institutional investors. Mr. Fernandez previously worked with Latham and Watkins LLP’s private equity/investment fund group.
Mr. Fernandez received his BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and JD from Stanford Law School.

Erika Medina-Vecchini is the Managing Director of Endeavor Puerto Rico. Her mission is to serve as a catalyst to sustainable economic growth by identifying, connecting and mentoring the best entrepreneurs in the island with global scale-up capacity.
After five years in New York City, Erika returned to Puerto Rico in 2017 to join public service, determined to help boost the local economy. As Chief Business Development Officer for Puerto Rico’s Department of Economic Development & Commerce and Industrial Development Company, she focused on strengthening the island’s economic value proposition, attracting new investment and diversifying Puerto Rico’s economic activity. She also became the main liaison to the fast-growing entrepreneurial ecosystem and investors, promoting cross-sectorial collaboration and supporting programs, tax incentives and startups enhancing innovation in the Island.

Belisa Bermúdez is Endeavor Puerto Rico's Manager of Entrepreneur Selection and Growth + Operations. An energetic, natural-born leader, Belisa makes things happen wherever she goes. She is a relationship builder and connector and has a keen eye for identifying opportunities that benefit any organization.
Belisa's introduction to startups began when she founded her own endeavor in 2014. That experience gave her the tools to be capable of helping more than 140 global startups develop and carry out plans to grow in Puerto Rico. In addition, she strategized, organized, and implemented public speaking, mentoring sessions, strategic alliances, and event planning for over 100 private and public corporate partners.
